About Michaella Clemming

Residential Program Manager Lead – Ubuntu House

Michaella Clemming brings extensive experience in residential care, youth development, and restorative case management to Cocreative Culture’s Ubuntu House. Her work is rooted in person-centered, trauma-informed support that honors dignity, safety, and belonging-reflecting the Ubuntu principle, “I am because we are.”

Michaella has led and supported 24-hour residential programs serving young people experiencing homelessness, LGBTQIA+ youth, unaccompanied refugee minors, and justice-impacted families. Her leadership spans shelters, correctional settings, school environments, and community-based youth programs, where she has overseen staff supervision, licensing preparation, crisis response, and program operations.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Social Work from The Evergreen State College and brings a strong commitment to cultural humility, relationship-building, and restorative practice. Michaella is passionate about walking alongside young people as they build resilience, strengthen identity, and move toward stable, thriving futures.

At Ubuntu House, she helps cultivate a structured and compassionate environment where youth feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

Cocreative Culture exists to eradicate the current school to prison pipeline system in the US by improving social, economic and environmental conditions for young people from historically marginalized backgrounds through our holistic approaches.
